Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Shooting : Police continue to seek two men who robbed a man in a carryout in the 2700 block of Harford Road early Wednesday, shooting the victim in the left knee. The victim, 44, was waiting for food when a man placed a gun to his head and robbed him. Police said that after a second man shoved the victim against a wall, the gunman shot him. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.


Drug arrest : Officers Tim Basko and Jimmy Shetterly were in the 1600 block of Pennsylvania Ave. on Wednesday afternoon when they observed a teenager throw a bag behind a car and walk away. After recovering the bag, which contained 20 gel caps of suspected heroin, the officers arrested him. Police found a straight razor when they searched him. The teen was charged as a juvenile with possession of heroin and possession with intent to distribute and possession of a deadly weapon. The teen was being held at the city's juvenile detention center on Gay Street.

Thefts : A cell phone, several compact discs and a money order for $423 were stolen Tuesday or Wednesday from a 2000 Nissan Maxima parked in the 300 block of Laurens St. Also stolen from a 2008 Toyota Camry the same day at the same garage was a global positioning system device valued at $350.

Theft: Someone broke into a 2004 GMC sport utility vehicle parked in a garage in the 200 block of W. Lombard St on Tuesday and stole a global positioning system device and $40.

Theft : A laptop computer valued at $1,500 was stolen Wednesday from a file cabinet at Profile Placement Services in the 200 block of N. Charles St. .

Stolen vehicle : A silver-colored 1999 Plymouth with tags MZY 654 was stolen Tuesday or Wednesday in the 200 block of W. Madison St.


Theft: A stereo system and other property were stolen Tuesday from a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban parked in the 3600 block of Pulaski Highway. The property was valued at nearly $2,000.

Theft: A 1998 Buick was parked in the 2500 block of E. Monument St. on Tuesday when someone removed two tires and their rims. The tires and rims had a total value of $620.


Burglary: A washing machine, a door, a clothes dryer and a drill were stolen between July 28 and Wednesday from a vacant house in the 2700 block of Cylburn Ave. The property was valued at $900.
