Angels update

The Angels' five-game winning streak ended Saturday with a loss to the New York Yankees, and they lost again yesterday to finish their East Coast swing with a 7-3 record. That included two wins in three games against the Orioles. The Angels played the past two games without center fielder Torii Hunter, who is on the bereavement list after the death of his grandmother. Hunter, who is expected to play tonight, is 10-for-20 with three homers and 11 RBIs in six games against the Orioles this season. Yesterday, first baseman Mark Teixeira (Mount St. Joseph) hit his first home run since being traded last week from Atlanta. He's 4-for-18 with a homer and five RBIs in five games as an Angel. Left fielder Garret Anderson is is on a 19-for-44 tear and in the midst of an 11-game hitting streak. All-Star closer Francisco Rodriguez (45 saves) remains on pace to break Bobby Thigpen's single-season record of 57, set in 1990.
