Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Burglary: Someone broke into a building in the 4200 block of Belmont Ave. during the weekend after shattering a window and removed three air conditioners. The intruder also removed several feet of copper water pipes, causing several rooms to flood before water was turned off.

Shooting: Two men were shooting at each other in the 2800 block of Presbury St. about 1 a.m. Friday when a bullet struck a woman, 47, in the lower back as she walked nearby. The woman was taken by a city Fire Department ambulance to Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment and was expected to survive.

Burglary: Someone broke into Windsor Forest Liquors in the 5200 block of Windsor Mill Road through the front door during the weekend and stole 60 packs of cigarettes and several bottles of liquor.

Stolen vehicle : A silver 2002 Dodge Intrepid with tags 4ABN58 was stolen Friday between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. in the 1500 block of Poplar Grove St.


Robbery: Police were seeking a gunman who robbed Subway in the 3700 block of Falls Road of less than $200 about 11 a.m. Friday.

Burglary : A 2006 Kawasaki dirt bike with no tags was stolen between Friday and Saturday from a garage in the 3600 block of Keystone Ave.


Arson : Police were seeking the person who poured a flammable liquid onto the front of a house in the 1400 block of N. Patterson Park Ave. about 5:30 a.m. Friday and set it ablaze, causing at least $1,000 damage to the dwelling. The house was being renovated and no injuries were reported. Anyone with information is asked to call the city police arson squad at 410-396-2645.

Baltimore County


Burglary : Someone entered a house in the 4000 block of Putty Hill Ave. through a door between Tuesday and Wednesday and stole 900 music CDs and $50 cash. Total value of the property was nearly $1,500.

Burglary/arrest : Police responding to a burglary in progress call in the 8700 block of Summit Ave. Thursday morning arrested a man who had entered the house and stole video games, jewelry, a camera and other pieces of property. A 25-year-old man from the 8000 block of Old Harford Road was charged with burglary and theft. His name was not available.


Robbery: A man, 23, was walking in the first block of Valley Lake Place about 2 p.m. Friday when he was assaulted by three males who robbed him of an undisclosed sum of money and a pack of cigarettes. William Brockington, 20, whose address was not available, was arrested a short time later and charged with robbery. The other men were being sought.
