Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Burglary: Someone broke into a second-floor apartment in the 1200 block of St. Paul St. on Wednesday and removed a laptop computer and $700 in coins. Total value of the property was $1,800.


Shooting: An unidentified man was reported in serious condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday after he was shot in the stomach about 3:40 p.m. Wednesday by an assailant in the 3000 block of E. Monument St. Police said the victim was found by officers responding to a report of a shooting. Anyone with information is urged to call district detectives at 410-396-2433.


Stolen vehicle : Police were seeking a red 1994 Isuzu Rodeo sport utility vehicle with tags 91044M that was stolen Wednesday morning in the 3900 block of Carlisle Ave.

Robbery try/shooting : Police were seeking two men, one with a handgun, who shot a man during an attempted robbery in the 5600 block of Leiden Road about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. During the attempt to rob two men, one of them struggled with the gunman and was shot in the upper right arm. The gunman and his accomplice fled without anything. The wounded victim was driven by his companion to Franklin Square Hospital, where he was treated and released. Anyone knowing the identity of the gunman or his accomplice is urged to call precinct detectives at 410-887-5000.


Burglary: Someone entered the swimming pool area at Springlake Club in the 800 block of Bosley Road Tuesday or Wednesday, entered a concession stand and stole an undetermined quantity of snacks.

Robbery: Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed Austin's Big & Tall Clothing store in the 1500 block of York Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Before fleeing, the gunman and his accomplice forced at least two employees into a rear room. No injuries were reported.


Home invasion/arrest : One man was arrested, and police were seeking two others in the armed home-invasion robbery early Wednesday of two men in their home in the 8000 block of Upperfield. Court. After the intruders forced their way into the house through a rear window and pistol-whipped one of the occupants, they forced the occupants into a room, where their arms and legs were bound. The gunman and his accomplice then fled with more than $1,000 cash, watches, a cell phone, the keys to one victim's car and the car. A short time later, police arrested Travoy Johnson of the 3500 block of Rockdale Court and charged him with armed robbery and related offenses. Information on the stolen car was not available.
