Woman struck, killed by train

A woman was struck and killed last night by an Amtrak train in Southeast Baltimore.

Shortly after 11 p.m., the woman was walking near railroad tracks in the 6300 block of Quad Ave. when she was struck by the train, authorities said.

Baltimore traffic police and Amtrak officials were investigating the woman's death. Her identity was being withheld pending notification of her relatives.

Details were not available.
