Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Central

Stolen vehicle : Police were seeking a tan 1998 Buick Century with tags 5DH V78 that was stolen Friday from outside a service station in the 1100 block of W. North Ave. while its owner was in the station office.

Robbery: A man, 46, was riding his mountain bike in the 500 block of McMechen St. about 10:30 p.m. Saturday when he was assaulted by at least four unarmed young males who knocked him to the pavement and stole the bike. During the incident, the victim was struck in the face and head and was taken by a city Fire Department ambulance to Maryland General Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries and released. Anyone with information about the identities of the four males is asked to call district detectives at 410-396-2411.

Theft/arrest : A West Baltimore woman was detained over the weekend by a store security officer and accused of trying to leave Rite Aid in the 300 block of W. Lexington St. without paying for costume jewelry. Charged with theft was Ernestine Hill, 46, of the 1600 block of N. Gilmor St.

Essex

Robbery: A man, 34, was walking along Bellanca Court near Maple Crest Drive about 12:30 a.m. Saturday when three younger males, each armed with an unknown-caliber semiautomatic handgun, robbed him of $400. Anyone with information is urged to call the precinct at 410-887-0220.

Burglary : Someone broke into a house in the first block of Duntro Place between July 15 and Saturday and removed a TV, video games and several pieces of jewelry. Police said there were no signs of forced entry and that the intruder might have entered with a key.

Franklin

Burglary: A chain saw, a gasoline can and a lock were stolen between July 16 and Saturday from a shed in the 100 block of W. Cherry Hill Road by someone who broke the lock with an unknown tool.

Burglary: Someone broke into Colonial Inn, a bar and restaurant in the 15100 block of Hanover Pike, over the weekend and removed an undisclosed sum of money from the office. The intruder was seen driving off in a red Jeep Cherokee. Anyone with information is asked to call the precinct at 410-887-6975.

Burglary: Several pieces of jewelry and watches were stolen over the weekend from the bedroom of a house in the 800 block of Queens Park Drive by someone who entered through a door.

Robbery : Police were seeking several young males who attacked a man, 30, as he walked along High Falcon Road near Meriam Court on his way to a bus stop about 10 p.m. Friday and robbed him of a cell phone valued at $120. During the robbery, the victim was struck with an unknown weapon and suffered a minor injury.
