Michael Thomas Garrison II, a construction worker and superintendent, died of undetermined causes Sunday at his sister's Wilkes Barre, Pa., home. The Rosedale resident was 31.

His father, Michael Thomas Garrison, said a cause of death is pending a toxicology report.

Born in Wilkes Barre and raised in St. Mary's County in Southern Maryland, Mr. Garrison was a graduate of Chopticon High School in Morganza. He served in the Army as a combat engineer.

As a young man he trained to be a carpenter and became a superintendent for Bryco General Contractors on Rolling Road. Family members said he worked on the construction of local highway bridges and overpasses.

He left the job this year and was attending the ITT Technical Institute at the time of his death.

Mr. Garrison, who was a bass fisherman, enjoyed playing golf at public courses. He was a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds.

Services will held at 8 p.m. today at Duda Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7922 Wise Ave.

In addition to his father, survivors include his girlfriend, Morgan Hon; two daughters, Alexia "Lulu" Garrison of Lexington Park and Mia "Meme" Creighton of Waldorf; a sister, Ruthie Garrison of Wilkes Barre; a brother, Justin Garrison of Rosedale; and many nieces and nephews. His marriage to Chastity Buckler ended in divorce.
