Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Eastern

Assault: A man, 18, was attacked Monday afternoon by another man in the 3000 block of E. Monument St. and was struck in the face with a bottle. The victim was treated at the scene by city Fire Department medics. No arrest had been made.

Cutting : A woman, 19, was going to the aid of a relative involved in an altercation with another person in the 1600 block of N. Chapel St. about noon Monday when someone cut her on the shoulder with a sharp weapon. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital and released. No arrest had been made.

Robbery: Moments after an elderly male resident of the 2700 block of E. Monument St. answered a knock at his front door about 8 a.m. Monday, an apparently unarmed man forced his way into the house, knocked the victim to the floor and robbed him of his wallet containing $50 to $75.

Southwestern

Assault/arrest : A man, 40, was in the 1000 block of Rock Hill Ave. about 3:30 p.m. Monday when a gunman fired at least one shot at him that missed. Moments later, police investigating the incident entered a house in the nearby 3300 block of Delaney St. and arrested Robert Colon, 24, of that address and charged him with first-degree assault and a deadly weapon charge.

Baltimore County

Essex

Arson: Police were seeking the person or persons who set fire to a tent, a sleeping bag and other personal property of a homeless man who was living in a vacant lot in the first block of Eastern Blvd. The fire was discovered about 8 p.m. Monday and was extinguished in a few minutes. The 45-year-old victim was not at the site when someone burned his property. Anyone with information is urged to call the police at 410-887-0220.

Burglary: A rug-cleaning machine, a computer tower, jewelry and several digital video discs were stolen Sunday or Monday from a house in the 2100 block of Southorn Road by someone who entered through a rear door. The property was valued at nearly $1,000.

Burglary try : Someone attempted to enter a home in the 200 block of Riverthorn Road through a rear door abut 9:30 p.m. Monday but was frightened off by a female resident who heard noises.
