Lifelong learning courses offered

Medicare course at senior center

The Cockeysville Senior Center will hold a program on "When I Turn 65, What Do I Need to Do to Get Medicare?" at 1 p.m. Thursday at 10535 York Road.

Pat Venable from the Department of Aging will explain how to enroll to receive Medicare benefits.

Business fair seeking vendors

The Parkville-Carney Business and Professional Association is taking vendor applications for the 23rd annual Parkville Towne Centre Fair to be held Sept. 14.

Profits from the fair go to local charities. Deadline for applications is Aug. 1.

Randallstown

Fire company gets federal grant

The Liberty Road Volunteer Fire Department has received a $9,720 grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. The fire company will use the money to replace worn hoses.
