Justin G. Caruso, 30, of Valley Road in Annapolis, Kenneth M. Redgraves, 31, of Old Riverside Road in Baltimore and Larry E. Martin Jr., 22 of Oak Court in Annapolis were charged with armed robbery, first- and second-degree assault, use of a handgun in the commission of a felony, unlawful carrying of a handgun and theft greater than $500.

Police arrest 3 in drug raid

Three Hillsmere roommates were arrested after a monthlong investigation into drug activity at their home, Anne Arundel County police said.

Police who raided the house in the 100 block of Pinecrest Drive on Wednesday found a loaded 40-caliber Glock handgun, marijuana, ecstasy, digital scales, several drug-smoking devices and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Abdul Ghance Ali Ayyub, 27, was charged with possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, possession of a handgun, possession of a firearm in a drug-trafficking crime, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and ecstasy and possession of both drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Daniella Ester Torres, 19, was charged with possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in a drug-trafficking crime, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and ecstasy.

Corinno Torres Dalbello, 21, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Charges are pending against a fourth individual.

Man charged with assault

An Annapolis man was arrested two weeks after allegedly beating his girlfriend with a hammer and choking her, Annapolis police said.

The victim, whose name the police are withholding, is a resident of the unit block of Monument St. She told police on July 3 that her live-in boyfriend, Ronald Ingram, 33, had struck her on her arms, leg and head with a hammer, then placed her in a choke hold. He refused to let her leave, but she broke free and ran, she said.

He was arrested Wednesday after breaking into the home where the victim still lives. He is charged with first-degree assault and related offenses and is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on $50,000 bond.
