"A lot of cities - Chicago, San Antonio, Houston - will show initial interest, but when they review conditions and requirements, they usually start to eliminate themselves pretty quickly."

Cass expects the bidding to be competitive. He wouldn't say on the record how much the Ravens would make from the game, but he said, "We support the event even though it's not profitable for the Ravens."

In the very near future, the Army-Navy game can become an even bigger event than it already is. With the game potentially moving to other parts of the country, and with a sponsor attached, it's possible the game can become even more popular.

To Anderson, that's exactly how it should be.

"There's no other football game in the country like Army-Navy," he said. "If we're ever to play the game at different venues and have different people experience it, it's great for college football and great for the country to feel good about athletes representing this country."
