Baltimore police were investigating whether there is a connection between the shooting last night of a man in Southwest Baltimore and the shooting of another man who showed up wounded at a hospital shortly after the first incident.

A man was shot in the stomach after 9 p.m. in the 2100 block of Hollins St., said Officer Nicole Monroe, a police spokeswoman. He was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, she said.

About a half-hour later, another man arrived at a hospital with gunshot wounds and did not initially divulge where he was when he was shot, Monroe said. He did not have life-threatening injuries and was being interviewed by detectives, she said.

Police said they have no motive in either incident. They did not release the names of the men and did not say which hospitals were involved.
