Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Victim identified : Police on Wednesday identified Amanda Bishop, 22, of the 400 block of Parrish St. as the woman found dead June 22 in the 1300 block of Nanticoke St. in the Washington Village community. An autopsy showed that she had been strangled. Metro Crime Stoppers at 410-276-8888 is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and an indictment in the woman's slaying.


Drug arrest : Evette Mallard, 34, of the 2100 block of Callow Ave. in Reservoir Hill was arrested Wednesday on a warrant charging her with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a stun gun.

Drug arrest : Drug enforcement officers entered a room at the North Avenue Motel in the 100 block of W. North Ave. on Wednesday and arrested two tenants on charges of possession of cocaine and possession with intent to distribute the drug. Arrested were Carroll Stevenson, 42, and Barbara Williams, 32. Detective David Jones said Stevenson was arrested on June 2 at the same motel and charged with the same drug offense and was out on $35,000 bail when he was arrested Wednesday.


Carjacking : A couple was stopped at a traffic signal at East Lombard and South Bouldin streets about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday when a man who implied he had a handgun forced them out of a 2004 Infiniti Q45 and drove off. At Gough Street and Highland Avenue, the vehicle crashed and the carjacker fled on foot.


Shooting : A man was shot while standing in the 1600 block of E. Federal St. about 8:20 p.m. yesterday and was treated at an area hospital for a graze wound. Details were not available.

Shootings: Two teenage males were shot shortly before 8:30 p.m. yesterday at North Broadway and Oliver Street. One was shot in a leg and the other in the left arm. Both were treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital and were expected to survive.

Assault : A man and his former girlfriend were arguing in her home in the 1900 block of E. Federal St. on Tuesday night when the man struck the woman, 43, on both arms, her head and neck with a shovel, police said. The woman was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital. A warrant was issued for the man's arrest.

Baltimore County


Vandalism: Police were seeking the person who scratched profanity, obscene figures and racial slurs on an exterior door at Timonium Elementary School in the 2000 block of Eastridge Road early Wednesday. The vandalism was discovered by school custodian.

Burglary : Between Tuesday and Wednesday, someone removed several metal coils from air conditioning units at a York Road apartment building.

Robbery Two men in a red Mercury with a partial Pennsylvania tag 221-- picked up a man, 20, and a woman, 19, in the first block of Ballycruy Court about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday to buy drugs and alcohol, police said. Moments later, one of the men pulled out a handgun and robbed the couple of $800 and a cell phone before the pair forced the couple from the car and drove off.
