Dropkick Murphys and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones

Don't Miss

July 03, 2008|By Ishita Singh

The Dropkick Murphys blend rock and traditional Irish music to create their own genre, Celtic punk. The band's popularity rose when its cover of the Boston Red Sox anthem "Tessie" became the team's official song during its 2004 World Series run. The Dropkick Murphys perform with the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, one of the originators of ska-core in the late '80s. The show is at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Merriweather Post Pavilion, 10475 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia. Tickets are $35. Call 410-547-7328 or go to ticketmaster.com.
