BALTIMORE COUNTY DIGEST

The event begins at 10:25 a.m. with the singing of the national anthem by Julienne Irwin of America's Got Talent at the Washington Avenue viewing stand.

The Bike Rush will lead off the parade. Children and their parents should gather at the Towson University Health Center parking lot by 9 a.m. Parade staff and Trader Joe's volunteers will help participants decorate bikes, strollers, tricycles and wagons.

The parade will begin at Towsontown Boulevard and Bosley Avenue, turn north on Bosley Avenue, east on Allegheny Avenue and south on Washington Avenue to Chesapeake Avenue.

The parade will be canceled only if storms with lightning and very heavy rain pass through the area. Parking at municipal garages on Washington and Virginia avenues will be free.

Volunteers are needed, as well as donations to offset costs.
