Police searching for man who robbed store
A Brooklyn Park store was robbed at gunpoint, Anne Arundel County police said
A man with a semiautomatic handgun entered Charlie Ward's, 4607 4th St., at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday and demanded the money from the register. After being given an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled on foot toward Orchard Avenue.
He was described as black, in his 20s, and wearing a buttoned-up red and white vertically striped shirt with a light-colored shirt underneath, dark jeans, dark hat, tan boots and a mesh checkered mask across his eyes.

Bicyclist injured after riding into car's path
A bicyclist suffered head injuries when he swerved into the path of a car in Churchton, Anne Arundel County police said.
Joseph Frederick Vacheresse was riding north in the southbound lane of Deale-Churchton Road about 6:20 p.m. Tuesday when he rode directly into the path of a 200 Mitsubishi Lancer approaching from behind him.
The driver struck the bike, and Vacheresse hit the windshield and landed on the road. The driver stopped immediately.
Vacheresse was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he was admitted in critical condition.
Man assaulted, robbed outside his home
A man was assaulted and robbed by two people as he worked on a car outside his Annapolis home, city police said.
The victim, 44, of the 2000 block of Forest Drive, said that two men approached him about 5 p.m. Tuesday. Without warning, one of them struck him on the head with a bottle. He was knocked to the ground, and his pockets were rifled. The suspects took $467. in cash from his pockets and fled. The victim was treated at Anne Arundel Medical Center for his head injury.
