Teen arrested on drug charges after raid
A Russett teenager was charged with multiple drug offenses after police raided his home and found a cache of crack cocaine, marijuana and money, Anne Arundel county police said.
Police burst into an apartment on the 3400 block of Chiswell Court about 1:30 a.m. Thursday and found the target of their monthlong investigation, Marvin Leonard Sellman, 19, in his bedroom. There, detectives found 48 grams of crack cocaine worth $4,800. They also found $100 in marijuana, a digital scale, $469 and empty plastic baggies in the apartment.
Spellman was charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and manufacturing cocaine.
Four teens charged with armed robbery
Four teenagers were arrested in Edgewater and charged with threatening three people at gunpoint, stealing money and - after a hesitation - an iPhone from one of them, and beating him up, Anne Arundel County police said.
The victims told police that they were walking on Longwood Road in the Woodland Beach community about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday when four youths wearing bandanas approached. One displayed what appeared to be a black handgun in his waistband. The other three suspects then rifled through or patted down all three of the victims looking for any valuables.
One of the victims had an undisclosed amount of money taken from him. This victim also said he handed over his iPhone, but it was returned.
The three victims were initially allowed to walk away. However, a few moments later, two of the suspects ran back up to the victims and demanded the iPhone. When the victim refused, the robbers knocked him to the ground and all four suspects began to kick him in the ribs and head. The victim suffered minor cuts and bruises and later declined medical treatment.
The suspects fled on foot, but officers found them on nearby Ruxtun Road. They arrested Samuel Joseph Rossetti, 18, of the 300 block of Edgemere Drive in Edgewater, Richard Shane Huff, 19, of the 5800 block of Swamp Circle Road in Deale, Ashton Gregory Dalessio, 18, of the unit block of Cedar Point in Severna Park, and Cody Lee Fletcher, 16, who was identified as the gunman and subsequently charged as an adult. Fletcher was also reported as a runaway from Delaware.
The handgun - a black BB gun - and two bandanas were recovered as evidence. The boys were each charged with three counts of armed robbery, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and theft valued at less than $100.
