Harford Friends School offers students a weeklong glimpse of life in Middle Ages

* Creative Theater and Improvisation. Children will express ideas through storytelling, and building characters through improvisation.

* Go Green! Beyond Recycling. Children will use a GPS to complete a geo-cache treasure hunt where there are environmental facts and/or activities at each cache, perform a stream survey, and investigate native versus invasive plants.

* Worms to Wings - Is a Spider an Insect? Does a butterfly emerge from a cocoon or a chrysalis? Worms to Wings, a fully interdisciplinary study of the world of creepy-crawlies, will enable children to discover the answers through observation, research, role-playing, songs and games.

*Background Wonders. Children will learn how to make their backyards great wildlife habitats and how they can help the family go green

* Fun With Spanish. Children will participate in a week of a Spanish immersion program in which they will learn all about animals.

* Animal Crackers. Children will have the opportunity to experience animals such as sheep, cows, goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, dogs, cats and turkeys.
