Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Shooting: A man, 24, was walking in the 400 block of Furrow St. about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when a man standing through the sunroof of a passing car fired a shotgun, the pellets striking the victim in the back. The man was treated at Bon Secours Hospital.


Robbery try/shooting : Police were seeking three men who forced their way into a house in the 3700 block of Glen Ave. about 1 p.m. Wednesday and demanded money from a 19-year-old male occupant. When the 19-year-old fled the house, one of the intruders shot him. The victim was reported in serious condition at Sinai Hospital.


Theft : An iPod valued at $150 was stolen Wednesday from a 1997 Toyota parked in the 1500 block of St. Paul St.

Assault/arrest : Kenneth Corbin, 47, of the 1600 block of N. Calhoun St. was arrested Wednesday morning at the North Avenue Motel in the 100 block of W. North Ave. and charged with assaulting a woman, 31, with a knife during an argument over money a short time earlier. In the room, police found cocaine, a glass smoking pipe and other drug paraphernalia.


Burglary: Someone entered Latin America Travel Agency in the 1700 block of Eastern Ave. through the roof Wednesday and stole three toilets.

Burglary: A kitchen stove valued at nearly $2,000 was stolen from a house in the 2600 block of E. Fairmount Ave. between June 10 and Wednesday.


Theft: While the driver of a Frito-Lay truck was delivering items to a liquor store in the 1600 block of N. Wolfe St. on Tuesday, someone broke into his truck parked outside and stole $150 worth of snacks.

Robbery: Police were seeking a woman known as "Peaches" and an unidentified male who allegedly entered Adigah's Nails in the 2300 block of E. Monument St. about 6 p.m. Wednesday and stole nail-care equipment valued at $350. The man is also accused of assaulting an employee.

Baltimore County


Burglaries: On June 14, someone entered a house in the 1000 block of Susquehanna Ave. through a dog door and stole $300, a watch and keys. On June 17, police believe the same person entered the house again through a dog door and stole $111, three rings and other pieces of jewelry.

Robbery: Two teenage boys were walking in the 200 block of Stemmers Run Road abut 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when they were assaulted by three other youths, one armed with brass knuckles, who robbed them of a cell phone, an iPod, a wallet and a penknife. During the robbery, the youth armed with a brass knuckles struck one of the victims, causing an injury that required treatment at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.


Burglary : A laptop computer and a back-pack were stolen Wednesday from a house in the first block of Castlebar Court.


Burglary: Jewelry valued at nearly $3,300 was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 3900 block of Carthage Road by someone who entered through a sliding glass door.
