STEAMED UP

The Fire Museum of Maryland holds its 31st Annual Steam Show & Bull Roast on Saturday. The museum brings out its collection of steam engine models, including an 1899 engine. There will be contests for children and demonstrations of a horse-drawn hose wagon. Iconic Dalmations, long believed to have a calming effect on horses, will ride the engines and "guard" the horses. A fee applies for the bull roast.

GETTING ACTIVE

As the kickoff for the Truxtun Youth Triathlon in Annapolis, the TRI It Fun Festival aims to encourage active lifestyles for children and parents. Become familiar with the Truxtun park and pool, including its elaborate trail system. Visitors can participate in soccer, fly fishing, karate and other outdoor activities.

TRIBUTE TO THE KING

Experience Elvis all over again at the Inner Harbor. Jesse Garron sings the Billboard hits, concert favorites and ballads during his three-set tribute to Elvis. Garron has been performing his tribute to Elvis for 10 years nationwide. Just as The King did, he will be giving out scarves and will dress in a Vegas costume.

HIGHLAND HERITAGE CONCERT

The United States Air Force Heritage Ensemble, Celtic Aire, blends the music of Ireland, Scotland and England with contemporary and traditional instruments. Recently back from entertaining U.S. troops and doing humanitarian work in the Middle East and Africa, the five classically trained musicians dress in the traditional highland costume, using the family plaid of Billy Mitchell, the "Father of the Air Force." The ensemble is under the direction of Sgt. Sherry Burt.
