Three injured in Arundel crash

A 13-year-old girl was seriously injured when she was thrown from a vehicle in an accident yesterday in Anne Arundel County, authorities said.

Two other people were injured in the four-vehicle crash at Route 2 and Harwood Road shortly after midday, said Battalion Chief Matthew Tobia of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

The girl was taken to Children's National Medical Center in Washington. A 59-year-old man was taken to Prince George's Hospital Center in Cheverly with serious injuries, while a third person was treated for minor injuries at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick.
