The lowdown -- Pack a picnic dinner and enjoy the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company's outdoor productions of The Tempest and The Comedy of Errors. The same cast performs in both shows, which are directed by Ian Gallanar.

New impressions

The lowdown -- In 2003, the McBride Gallery featured artists Tim Bell, Stephen Griffin and Abigail McBride in The Young Impressionists. Starting Sunday, the gallery revisits the artists' work in The Young Impressionists: 5 Years Later, which reflects the stylistic and technical advances they have made since then.

If you go -- The exhibit runs Sunday through June 22, with preview days tomorrow and Saturday. The gallery is open 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, with a 9 p.m. close on Thursdays, and noon-5:30 p.m. Sundays. The gallery is at 215 Main St., Annapolis. Free. Russian drama

The lowdown -- The Vagabond Players present Marcelle Maurette's Anastasia, the story of three Russians who conspire to claim the Romanov fortune by placing an impostor as the daughter of Czar Nicholas. The show is directed by Linda Chambers and stars Beth Weber as Anastasia.
