ARCHBISHOP CURLEY

The junior played a big role in the Friars winning the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association title this spring. He went undefeated in the 110 hurdles and was the team's leading scorer.

Franklin also was on the 800-meter relay team that set an MIAA record this spring. He also is a standout in football, and Division I schools are recruiting him for that sport. Coach of the Year Gene Hoffman Archbishop Curley

Hoffman just completed his 34th season as Curley's coach with a very successful spring. The Friars won the MIAA A Conference's dual meet title and then edged Mount St. Joseph to take the team title at the championship meet.

That gave Hoffman his 32nd championship, as he did a good job of mixing his talent to score points in a variety of places. The team
