Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Shooting: A 23-year-old man was seated in a vehicle parked in the 4200 block of St. Georges Ave. about 11:15 p.m. Sunday when someone shot him in the left shoulder. The victim was taken by a Fire Department ambulance to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was treated for a wound.


Carjacking: Police were seeking two men who assaulted a 56-year-old man early Sunday on a downtown street and took his car. About 6:30 a.m., the victim was seated in a rented gold-colored Chevrolet Malibu with Pennsylvania tag GVJ 5648 when the men, one armed with a container of a chemical irritant, sprayed the man in the face and forced him from the car. The pair drove off. Police said the victim was treated at the scene by city Fire Department medics and was released.


Assault: A man, 50, was walking in the 2700 block of E. Preston St. early Sunday morning when someone fired a BB gun and struck him in the back. The man was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was treated for a minor wound and released. No arrest had been made.

Baltimore County


Burglaries : Someone broke into two homes in the 3500 block of Santee Court on Sunday. The intruder removed a set of keys after entering one of the houses. Stolen from the second house were a computer, keys to a 2002 Honda and the car.
