CRIME WATCH

June 02, 2008

A 28-year-old and a 17-year-old were shot in the back about noon yesterday as they stood outside in the 2900 block of Ellicott Drive in Southwest Baltimore, police said.

Both men were taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where they were being treated yesterday evening, said Agent Donny Moses, a spokesman for the Police Department.

The 17-year-old also was shot in the shoulder, Moses said.

Police had no suspects and knew of no motive for the crime yesterday. "Somebody just walked up and opened fire," Moses said.
