June so soon? The 2008 Atlantic hurricane season begins today, with an "active" season forecast by all. We'll see. Average highs at BWI climb from 79 degrees to 86 by month's end. The record is 105 degrees, set June 29, 1934. The coldest June reading was 40 degrees on June 11, 1972. The wettest here (9.95 inches) was June 1972, thanks to TS Agnes. The oldest mark still on the June books was the record "high minimum" of 78 degrees, reached overnight on June 20, 1873.
