Area's past discussed

The Howard County Genealogical Society will present a talk on the founding of Elkridge Landing, which predates the Revolutionary War, by local historian Joetta Cramm. She will describe the earliest places of worship, the early families and why much of the town's history has disappeared.

Cramm, who is author of Howard County: A Pictorial History and other books, teaches local history at Howard Community College and leads walking tours of Historic Ellicott City.
