The Guardian Knights, the local chapter of the International Association of Black Firefighters, will make Hart the first recipient of an award recognizing those who have advanced the role of minorities in the Fire Department.

Circus fundraiser aids church group
The Kelly Miller Bros. Circus will present two shows, at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. today, at Northminster Presbyterian Church grounds as a fundraiser for the church's youth group.
The church is at 705 Main St. in Reisterstown. Advance tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for children; gate tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children.

Housing hearing set for tomorrow
A hearing on the townhouse development proposed at Reisterstown and Gwynnbrook roads is scheduled for 9 a.m. tomorrow.
The hearing will be in Room 106 of the County Office Building, 111 West Chesapeake Ave. in Towson.
