Meeting to focus on Net safety

A program on Internet safety and young people will be offered at 3 p.m. Thursday at Perry Hall High School, 4601 Ebenezer Road.

The Community Leadership in Cyber Knowledge & Safety program is intended to familiarize community leaders with Web-based, age-appropriate, interactive resources that can be used in lesson plans or in online safety presentations to parents and community groups.

Towson

Business forum set for June 5

The Baltimore County Regional Advisory Board for Business and Education will hold a free business forum on managing a multigenerational work force from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. June 5 at Towson University's Center for the Arts.

Neil Howe, speaker and co-author of Generations and Millennials Rising, will discuss the challenges and opportunities facing employers. He will also talk about each how generation's attitudes and experiences have affected the approach to work.

Timonium

Churches to host touring AIDS exhibit

Grace Fellowship Church of Timonium and Central Presbyterian Church of Towson will present a touring educational exhibit on AIDS beginning Friday at Grace Fellowship, 9505 Deereco Road. The exhibit will run through June 9.

AIDS - Step Into Africa will be presented in a 1,200-square-foot tent that depicts an African village. Visitors walk through the tent with headsets and hear the story of three children whose lives have been affected by AIDS. The exhibit was created by World Vision, an international Christian humanitarian organization.

Crime prevention tips at Web site

County police have produced a list of warm-weather crime-prevention tips.

The tips deal with deception burglaries, home-improvement schemes, neighborhood awareness, protecting sheds and garages, securing patio doors, protecting the elderly from fraud, bicycle safety, and all-terrain vehicle education and enforcement.
