Where -- Ripken Stadium, Aberdeen

Outlook -- This will be the Mus tangs' fifth trip to a state final and the third since 2004, as they seek their first state championship. Sherwood, of Montgomery County, also is looking for its first state crown. The Warriors have only two other appearances in the state tournament, including last year, when they lost to Eleanor Roose velt. Under first-year coach Joe Stetka, C.M. Wright, the two-time Upper Ches apeake Bay Athletic Conference cham pion, advanced to tonight's final by outlasting No. 6 South River, 8-6, in eight innings at the University of Maryland on Wednesday. Sherwood won the other 4A semifinal, 7-5, over Roosevelt.
