Registration on at college

Registration for summer classes through Anne Arundel Community College began Monday. Students may register using the STARS phone system, in person at a senior center, at an AACC location, by mail or by fax. All registration forms are due to AACC by June 16. Classes begin the week of July 7.

Coffehouse: Bill Sharkey will host a coffeehouse-style evening of entertainment from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Arnold Senior Center, 44 Church Road. 410-222-1922.

Stroke talk : In recognition of National Stroke Awareness Month, nurse Cynthia Mitzman, of the Baltimore Washington Medical Center, will visit Pascal Senior Center at noon today to discuss stroke prevention, early warning signs and the treatment of stroke. After the talk, participants can have their blood pressure checked. 410-222-6680.

Slide show : Pascal Senior Center member and computer instructor Bill Chavanne will share photos taken on a recent African safari at 12:30 p.m. tomorrow at the center, 125 Dorsey Road, Glen Burnie. 410-222-6680.

Older Americans month : The Arnold Senior Center, 44 Church Road, will host presentations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday in honor of Older Americans Month, including mini-massages, blood pressure readings and a "Get Physical" warm-up. Sign up in advance for lunch.

Tea, music : The Annapolis Senior Center, 119 S. Villa Ave., will hold a tea from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday. Participants should take a tea cup and wear hats. Talk of the Town will provide music. Sign-ups requested by tomorrow. 410-222-1818.

Mini-massages : A certified massage therapist will provide free mini-massages from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Annapolis Senior Center, 119 S. Villa Ave. 410-222-1818.

Memoir reading : The Annapolis Senior Center, 119 S. Villa Ave., will have a book signing and reading by members of the center's memoir-writing class from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday. . 410-222-1818.

Casino trip : Brooklyn Park Senior Center, 202 Hammonds Lane, will sponsor a trip to the Charlestown Casino and Racetrack from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday. The bus will pick up and drop off at the center. Tickets are $20. Register in advance. 410-222-6847.

Charity presentation : Brian R. Moe, Maryland deputy secretary of state, will discuss "giving wisely" from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at O'Malley Senior Center, 1275 Odenton Road, Odenton. He will talk about how to make informed decisions when giving money to a charitable organization, ways to avoid scams and how to determine if a charity is reputable. 410-222-6227 or 301-621-9515.
