Seminar looks at home interiors

The Residences at Bulle Rock will offer "The Anatomy of a Home," a continuing-education seminar by Colin McGowan, director of the Frederick Academy of Real Estate, from 8 a.m. to noon June 5 at 1200 Bulle Rock Parkway, Havre de Grace.

McGowan will draw on his experience in custom home-building to describe the interior of the home that can't be seen.

Participants will learn about trusses, footers, roofline, headers, "on-center," brick and block, drain fields, insulation and more.

Three hours of continuing-education elective credits valid in Maryland and Delaware are available.

The event also will feature an "Introduction and Update on BRAC Relocation" from James C. Richardson, Harford County director of economic development.

Registration is $55.

The first 50 registrants will receive a June 5 pass, with VIP tent access on the 18th green, to the McDonald's LPGA Championship at the Bulle Rock Golf Course (shuttle service provided).

Wine, networking for businesswomen

The Women's Wine & Dine will hold a wine and networking event from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. May 28 at the Maryland Golf and Country Club, 1335 E. MacPhail Road, Bel Air.

The meeting will feature representatives from Spector + Krupp: Center for Facial Enhancement and the Sexual Assault/ Spouse Abuse Resource Center.

Doris Krupp, director of Spector + Krupp, will lead a discussion on "Slowing the Aging Process: Yes, It's Possible."

A staff member from the resource center will discuss its mission to advocate for women, children and families affected by spouse abuse and sexual assault.

Also, Monyka Berrocosa, founder of the Women's Wine & Dine, will discuss "Spring Sippers: Delightful Wines Ideal for Spring."
