Several children sustained minor injuries yesterday when a school bus they were riding in collided with a parked vehicle in Northwest Baltimore, according to authorities and witnesses at the scene.

The accident occurred shortly before 7 a.m. near West Cold Spring Lane and Garrison Boulevard, said Chief Kevin Cartwright, a city Fire Department spokesman. At least three of the five children on the bus were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries, Cartwright said.

A witness told The Sun that the school bus hit a parked sport utility vehicle and that two sedans were also damaged.
