GIRLS LACROSSE

No. 6 Mount Hebron @ Glenelg

WHEN -- Friday, 7 p.m.

OUTLOOK -- After dominating the county for the past 18 seasons, Mount Hebron finds itself in a battle to gain one of the two spots in the championship game. That is largely because of last week's 7-5 loss to Cen tennial, which was the first county loss the Vikings had suffered since 1990 - also to Centennial. Glenelg will provide a formidable test with a veteran cast led by senior M Kristy Black and senior A Alayna Mark wordt. The Vikings lean on Monica Zabel, Jessica Giles and Ashley Bruns on attack, with G Meghan Savage di recting the defense. Last season, the Vikings came away with a 14-5 win over the Gladiators in the Class 3A-2A South regional title game on their way to the program's 15th state crown.
