BERLIN -- An employee at Frontier Town, a theme park eight miles south of Ocean City in Worcester County, was found killed yesterday in her Berlin home, a spokesman for the state police said.

About noon yesterday, a co-worker, who was concerned when Cecilia D. Parker, 56, of Deep Channel Road failed to report to work, entered her home and found Parker lying on the floor and called police, said spokesman Sgt. Arthur Betts.

Betts said a preliminary examination at the scene indicated Parker died of trauma. An autopsy by the state medical examiner's office in Baltimore was expected to determine what, if any, weapon was used in the slaying and how long Parker had been dead.

Betts said the person who found Parker described the victim as a faithful worker who never missed a day at work. He said it was not immediately known what job Parker held at Frontier Town or how long she had worked there.

Betts said state police detectives from the Berlin barracks were attempting to determine whether there were signs of forced entry at the home and whether any property was missing.
