Animal walk

The lowdown -- Four-legged pooches and their two-legged owners stride for a good cause at the 13th annual March for the Animals Sunday at Druid Hill Park. Proceeds benefit homeless animals in the Baltimore area. The event includes a 1.5-mile walk around the lake, pet costume contests with celebrity judges, an agility course, a presentation by Mid-Atlantic Disc Dogs and more.

Fashionistas

The lowdown -- Watch models show off the creations of 17 Maryland Institute College of Art fashion designers Saturday at Eclectic i/klektik, MICA's 15th annual benefit fashion show. The name reflects the diverse styles, backgrounds and ideas of the students involved. Proceeds benefit the school's Mentoring Network, which provides support for black students.

Art, music fuse

The lowdown -- Art and hip-hop collide Saturday at Fusion II, hosted by Creative Alliance. The program includes an exhibit containing custom Nike Air Force Ones and graffiti art from New York, Philadelphia and Baltimore. Atomic Goofball & Friends break dance, Shodekeh beatboxes, Vicious V serves as DJ and Soul Cannon raps with a live band. Graffiti artists give demonstrations, and attendees can use a tagging space to create art.
