Art exhibit -- The 49 West Coffeehouse, Winebar and Gallery in Annapolis will present "Karma's Awakenings" by Kasey Wells throughout April. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to midnight weekdays and 7:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. weekends. 410-626-9796.

Exhibit -- St. John's College's Mitchell Gallery will exhibit "Robert Motherwell and Jasper Johns: Poetic Works as Metaphor," through Friday at 60 College Ave., Annapolis. 410-626-2556 .

Multimedia Exhibits -- Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts will exhibit "Out of the Ordinary: Fiber Works by F.I.N.E. (Fiber In Nearly Everything)" in the Chaney Gallery, "Annapolis Alive: Celebrating Three Amazing Centuries through the Eyes of Art Students" in the Martino Gallery, and the works of Sy Mohr in the Balcony Gallery at 801 Chase St., Annnapolis. All will be on display through May 9. The Martino Gallery will hold a reception from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. today. Media exhibit -- Anne Arundel Community College will hold a student art show through April 23 in the Cade Center for Fine Arts Gallery at 101 College Parkway, Arnold. Mixed media exhibit -- The Galleries at Quiet Waters Park will exhibit "Expressions at Quiet Waters Park" by Anne Arundel County high school students in the Caf? Mixed media exhibit -- The Maryland Federation of Art, 18 State Circle, Annapolis, will present "Our Vanishing History: Paintings Memorialize Area's Disappearing Tobacco Barns" by Jacqueline Lanier from Saturday through May 4 in the Circle Gallery.
