Howard County police announced yesterday that they are offering a $5,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to an arrest in the killing of a 20-year-old man in Columbia on Wednesday.

Bryan Antoine Adams Jr. of Suffield Court was shot just before 11:30 a.m. near the Wilde Lake village center in the 10400 block of Twin Rivers Road.

Adams later died at Howard County General Hospital. He was the county's first homicide victim of the year.

Police are seeking a man who was described by a witness as black, in his late teens to early 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches, with a medium build and gold-fronted teeth.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call county police at 410-313-3200.
