King, Franklin roll to 16-0 victory

Emily King hit for the cycle and No. 11 Franklin shut out visiting Woodlawn, 16-0, yesterday.

King has four triples in five games and already has two home runs for the Indians (5-0).

Jordan Eades and Mary Sobota combined efforts for a no-hitter.


No. 8 Chesapeake-AA 7, Southern 1 -- Justin Robey got the win and went 3-for-4 with a double, stolen base and two RBIs to power the host Cougars (5-1-1) past the Bulldogs. Robey pitched seven innings, gave up one run on two hits, walked two and struck out four. Mike Marsh went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI for Chesapeake.
