Games To Watch

April 09, 2008

No. 6 McDonogh @ No. 2 Calvert Hall Friday, 4 p.m.

Calvert Hall has plenty of firepower behind senior M Mike Brashears and A Sean Maguire and an athletic offense that takes advantage of opportunities. They'll have their hands full trying to score on McDonogh G Tyler Fiorito, who is Princeton-bound and perhaps the best goalie in the country. The key matchup is the Eagles offense against the Cardinals defense. Calvert Hall D Chris Lightner is one of the best in the area. THE SUN'S PICK: CALVERT HALL

No. 11 Dulaney @ No. 7 St. Mary's Saturday, 12:30 p.m. Four of Dulaney's first five games were decided by a goal, so the Lions are battle-tested for their annual showdown with St. Mary's, this time on the turf at St. John Neumann Church. The Saints look strong in transition, and the Lions will have to slow them. Dulaney has rebuilt its attack and is led by Blair King and Ana Heneberry. St. Mary's looks to Caroline Cochran and Jen Fox to lead its offense.
