WHEN -- Today, 4 p.m.

OUTLOOK -- Here's hoping two um pires show up for this Maryland Inter scholastic Athletic Association A Con ference showdown in Severn. In each of the past two years, only one has post ed and Calvert Hall coach Lou Eckerl re fused to play. This has become one of the area's best baseball rivalries. Cal vert Hall comes in with a pretty good hitting attack, led by Patrick Blair and Kevin Lingerman, and a deep pitching staff led, by right-hander Mike Dillon. The host Cavaliers counter with the big bats of Matt Hillsinger and Kody Hines and good pitching of their own.

GIRLS LACROSSE

No. 7 St. Mary's @No. 2 Severna Park

WHEN -- Tomorrow, 6:45 p.m.

OUTLOOK -- This is a showdown be tween the county's top private school team and the county's top public school team. Each has an out standing attack and midfielder. The visiting Saints are led by A Megan Schrum and M Caroline Cochran, while the Falcons counter with A Jaci Gassaway and M Julie Gardner. The host Falcons are the defending Class 4A-3A state champions, while the Saints are a contender for the Inter scholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference title.
