The Vanderbilt mansion known as the Breakers in Newport, R.I., is one of the architectural treasures featured in "Wright Way New England: Newport to New Hampshire." Offered by the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust, the June 18-21 tour also targets Victorian and modern architecture in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood; Frank Lloyd Wright's Zimmerman House in Manchester, N.H.; and a 1938 house in Lincoln, Mass., designed by Walter Gropius. With names such as Wildcat and Slim Pickins, the rapids of Oregon's wild Rogue River add plenty of excitement to three- and four-night excursions operated by James Henry River Journeys. Guests run the river in oar boats, paddle boats or inflatable kayaks, depending on how much exertion and adventure they'd like. Departures run from June 1 to Sept. 23. Though Austin-Lehman Adventures offers outings in locales as far-flung as Zambia and Peru, the company is based in Montana. It shares an insider's perspective on its home on the range with "Montana Big Sky Family: Cowboys, Canyons & Campfires," a five-night adventure open to families with children as young as 7. Based at a ranch, historic hotel and hot-springs resort, the vacation features cowboy-guided horseback riding, backcountry hiking and rafting on the Yellowstone River. Five departures are scheduled in July and August. The fee of $2,298 for adults and $1,838-$2,068 for kids, depending on family size, covers everything except one dinner, some tips and round-trip transportation to Bozeman, Mont. The newly opened Hotel at Naples Bay Resort seeks to introduce itself to Florida vacationers with two packages, both valid through Sept. 30. The "Couples Getaway" offers two nights' lodging, daily breakfast, parking and a couples massage for $700 for two, plus tax and gratuities. The "Spa Getaway" includes two nights' lodging, parking and the couples massage, as well as two other spa treatments, for $1,000 for a duo.
