GIRLS LACROSSE

No. 3 John Carroll@No. 4 McDonogh Today, 4 p.m.

This clash of the top two teams in the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference could come down to a single play. The teams are evenly matched with balanced attacks. The Eagles might have more depth and more speed, but defending A Conference champ John Carroll has a lethal combination in All-Metro duo Ally Carey and Casey Ancarrow. Look for defense to make a big difference and the performance of McDonogh goalie Meg Fiorito could be key.

BOYS LACROSSE

No. 10 Dulaney@Catonsville

Friday, 5:15 p.m. Dulaney (3-1) is a power every year, having won 13 straight Class 4A-3A regional championships. This season is no different, led by Notre Dame-bound midfielder Eric Keppeler (eight goals, 10 assists). Catonsville (1-1) has moved up to 4A-3A this season and has eight returning starters from last year, including Ben Cohee and Matt Reymann at attack and should challenge the Lions for both the Baltimore County crown and the 4A-3A title this season.
