Rays update
Shields is making the start because Scott Kazmir has been bothered by a strained left elbow since Feb. 26. The Rays moved Akinori Iwamura from third base to second to make room for Evan Longoria, but the third overall pick in the 2006 draft was optioned to Triple-A Durham, so Willy Aybar starts at third today. Eric Hinske is starting in right field ahead of Johnny Gomes. The Rays went 7-11 against the Orioles in 2007.
