Medicare workshops planned for April
The Howard County Department of Citizen Services' Office on Aging will sponsor "Medicare 101: What You Can Expect from Medicare -- The Basics" at 10 a.m. April 15 at the Glenwood Community Center, 2400 Route 97, Cooksville.
The workshop reviews how Medicare works, how to enroll, the benefits and supplemental health insurance.
"Medicare 102: Why Medicare Isn't Enough!" will be at 10 a.m. April 24 at the same location.
The workshop focuses on the gaps in Medicare coverage and how to cover them. Medicare Health Plan options, Medigap plans and employer group coverage will be discussed. There will be discussion of prescription drug resources and Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage.
The programs are sponsored by the Senior Health Insurance Assistance Program of the Howard County Office on Aging.
