The victim told police that he had picked up a fare shortly before 10 a.m. Friday in Laurel and taken him to the 1800 block of Eagle Court in Severn. Once they arrived, the man told the driver to give him his money, implying he had a weapon. The victim complied, and the robber fled on foot between two homes.
Convenience store robbed in Laurel
A Laurel convenience store was robbed at gunpoint, county police said.
The robber entered the 7-Eleven at 3393 Laurel-Fort Meade Road about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, approached a store clerk, displayed a handgun from his waistband and demanded money.
The clerk complied, and the robber, dressed in black, fled on foot.
McDonald's robbed in Linthicum
A man wearing a ski mask and armed with a semiautomatic gun held up a McDonald's restaurant in Linthicum, county police said.
The robber entered the McDonald's at 717 Nursery Road about 9:40 p.m. Sunday, pointed a semiautomatic handgun and ordered the employees to open the safe. He took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.
Man grabs officer's citation envelopes
A thief snatched 25 citation envelopes from a city parking enforcement officer's hand, Annapolis police said.
The 26-year-old officer was walking in the 100 block of Main St. about 5:20 p.m. Saturday when a man came up from behind, grabbed her envelopes and fled.
Man accused of fraud in electric purchases
A Crofton man has been charged with fraudulently charging his purchases of electrical supplies and equipment to a company with a standing account at the store, Annapolis police said.
Casey Paul Davis, 28, had visited Rexel Electric at 601 Chinquapin Round Road several times. Employees later determined that he was not an employee of the customer, and had no authority to charge to the account.
Davis came in again Monday and was billing his purchases to the company when officers came in and arrested him. He was charged with theft.
Fugitive, teen arrested in city
A 24-year-old man wanted on several warrants and the teenager who was hiding him in her apartment were arrested and charged last week, Annapolis police said.
Officers who were looking for a man considered armed and dangerous saw him arrive in a cab and go into an apartment at 1288 Graff Court about 8 p.m. Friday.
Officers surrounded the residence and spoke to a tenant, Shawntay Danielle Henderson, who denied that the fugitive, Corey Tony Wallace, was there and refused to allow officers to come in and look for him.
