Warren E. Darby, a retired Baltimore City police officer, died of emphysema Friday at Anne Arundel Medical Center. He was 75 and lived in Pasadena.
Born in Baltimore and raised in Brooklyn Park, he attended Glen Burnie High School and joined the Army in 1950. He was stationed in Germany.
He was a meat packer and dump truck driver before he joined the police force in 1964. He was assigned to the Southern District and retired about 20 years ago.
A Mason, he was a past master of Corinthian Lodge. He also belonged to the American Legion Post 277 in Riviera Beach and the Fraternal Order of Police.
He enjoyed playing poker and pinochle with friends.
His wife of 51 years, Shirley E. Nauman, died in 2005.
Survivors include three sons: Ray E. Darby of Collierville, Tenn., and Larry E. Darby and Darrell E. Darby, both of Pasadena; a sister, Joan Broseker of Severna Park; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway.
