During the accreditation process, inspectors examined AAMC's laboratory records and quality assurance protocols for the past two years. Staff competency was reviewed and laboratory facilities were inspected. Laboratory management was also interviewed to ensure that patient safety programs were effective in limiting laboratory errors and providing the highest quality results.
Volunteer wins award for service
Leadership Anne Arundel recently recognized Suzanne Herr, an Anne Arundel Medical Center volunteer, with a 2008 Community Trustee Award for her outstanding service to the community.
Herr is a constant at AAMC's Annapolis Outreach Center Dental Clinic, the AAMC Emergency Department and the AAMC Volunteer Services Department.
She will be honored by Leadership Anne Arundel during a reception Tuesday at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Annapolis.
