Towson

SHA to hold meeting on interchange

The State Highway Administration will hold a public information meeting on the Interstate 695-Charles Street interchange from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Harry C. Ruhl Armory, main drill hall, 1035 York Road, Towson.

The project includes the replacement of the Charles Street bridge over I-695, interchange area improvements, and the rehabilitation of the I-695 bridge over the light rail line.

SHA representatives will be available to answer questions. Construction is scheduled to begin this fall.

Forum to address MRSA infections

Greater Baltimore Medical Center will present a community forum on preventing MRSA infections at 6 p.m. tomorrow. Hospital representatives will discuss what precautions the public can take to prevent and reduce their risk of infection from methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Lansdowne

Community health, safety fair planned

Lansdowne High School will hold a community health and safety information fair from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at 3800 Hollins Ferry Road.

More than 25 organizations - including law enforcement, hospitals, community service groups, state and local agencies, counseling centers, health and wellness groups, and substance abuse centers - will offer information for all ages.

Goucher College

Dance festival set to start Wednesday

Goucher College will host the American College Dance Festival Association's Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference on Wednesday through Saturday. Activities will include networking opportunities for students and faculty, vendor exhibits and a faculty showcase.

Alonzo King of LINES Ballet will present a free public lecture on "Dance the Doorway to Freedom" at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow in Merrick Hall. Information: 410-337-6390.

The San Francisco-based LINES Ballet will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday in Kraushaar Auditorium. The performance might not be suitable for young children. Tickets are $22 general admission, $15 for students and seniors.

Participating colleges will present a gala performance at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Kraushaar Auditorium. Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 students and seniors.
