A 44-year-old man died from gunshot wounds after Baltimore police officers found him last night lying on a West Baltimore street, authorities said.
Officer Troy Harris, a police spokesman, identified the victim as Bernard R. Wallace, who lived in the 2900 block of Belmont Ave. About 11:30 last night, officers were called to the 1300 block of Bloomingdale Road to check on reports of gunfire. Police found Wallace with multiple gunshot wounds to his head and body, Harris said. He was taken to a hospital, where he died at 7:15 a.m., Harris said. Police said they did not have a suspect or know of a motive in the killing.
